AustralianRoofers Trust Score New
How it's calculated: a transparent, evidence-weighted score — identity & longevity from the public ABN register, reputation from verified Google reviews, and consistency from cross-checking independent platforms. Grades are proportional to the evidence. Where we search the register and can't confirm a business, the identity check scores zero rather than being quietly left out — so a firm we couldn't verify never outranks one we could. Longevity stays unscored in that case, because without a registration date there's nothing to measure.
Our honest take
WeatherpRoof Restorations is a Brendale-based crew servicing Brisbane's northside up to Caboolture, and the registration checks out: Weatherproof Restorations Pty Ltd on the Australian Business Register, GST-registered, business name properly registered, postcode matching their front door. Their own site says Nick Parry founded the business in 2018 and has built out a qualified team since — and unusually for a roofing outfit this size, the reviews back the 'team' claim with actual names: Joel, Paul, Kurt, Matt on the tools, and Debbie in the office.
At 4.9 stars from 133 Google reviews, the record is strong, and the detail in it is what we find persuasive: before-and-after photographic evidence supplied to customers, a leak investigation where Paul talked the homeowner through causes and fixes rather than just invoicing, tricky repairs handled responsively, and colour-matched restorations people rave about. The firm advertises a 20-year warranty and 25+ years' experience — their claims, and we'd note their own site can't quite decide between '25+' and '30+' years, which is sloppy copy rather than anything sinister.
Now the loud caveat. Two months ago a customer left a detailed 1-star review describing months of unanswered emails and calls, booked appointments where nobody showed, paint already stripping off a repainted roof, an unfixed leak and damaged gutters — and at the time we checked, the company hadn't responded to it. One bad review in 133 doesn't sink a business, but this one is recent, specific and unanswered, and it describes exactly the failure modes (communication and prep work) that the other 132 reviews praise. We'd want to see how they answer it.
Reputation across the web New
The same firm, checked across platforms
⚑ One recent review tells a very different story
A 1-star Google review from two months ago describes unreturned calls and emails, no-show appointments, paint stripping off a freshly repainted roof, an unfixed leak and gutter damage — with no public response from the company. It's a single account against 130+ happy ones, but it's recent and specific. Ask directly how they'd handle a defect claim under their advertised 20-year warranty before you sign.

Who you'll actually deal with
Nick Parry and a genuinely named team
Their own about page says Nick Parry started the business in 2018 after 25-plus years in the trade, and Nick still turns up in reviews — one customer thanks 'Nick, Kurt and the whole team' for going above and beyond on a tricky roof fix. The ABR record confirms the company structure behind him: Weatherproof Restorations Pty Ltd, registered in Brendale.
What we like is that this isn't a faceless brand. Reviews independently name Joel and Paul (three mentions each), Matt as a standout tradie, and Debbie running the office — which tells you there's an actual back office answering phones and scheduling jobs, not just a bloke with a ute and a diverted mobile. That makes the recent complaint about unanswered calls all the odder, and worth asking about.
What clients say
In their own words
WeatherpRoof Restorations staff were professional, clear, upfront and fully communicative right through the process, from the quote through to works, then extensive photographic evidence of roof work (before and after). Very happy with their service.
Investigating a minor roof leak for us, Paul was on time, very polite and professional, and talked me through the causes and the fixes he did. Highly recommended, great service, thanks Paul.
We had a fantastic experience with weatherproof restorations, totally professional , great workmanship and nice people … Matt our trady was awesome, as were Debbie and the team in the office also … thanks for a great job
Customers repeatedly praise professional, well-communicated restorations backed by before-and-after photos, patient explanations of leak causes and fixes, and a friendly office-to-roof team they name individually.
Best for
- Full roof restorations — clean, repoint, prime and repaint — which dominate the review record
- Leak detection where you want the cause explained, not just a patch and an invoice
- Homeowners who value photographic before-and-after evidence and an actual office answering the phone
Less suited for
- Anyone who wants a spotless, fully-answered review record — the recent unanswered 1-star deserves a straight answer first
- Those who want a second independent review platform to cross-check — Google is effectively it
- Southside or Gold Coast jobs — they service Brisbane's northside up to Caboolture
Before you commit
Five questions worth asking
- Your advertised 20-year warranty — can I have the written terms, and does it cover paint adhesion failures like peeling?
- A recent review describes paint stripping and an unfixed leak — what happened there, and how do you handle defect call-backs?
- Who will actually be on my roof — Nick, Joel, Paul, or subcontractors — and who's my contact in the office?
- What primer and membrane system do you use, and how many coats are included in the quote?
- What's your QBCC licence number, and can it go on the quote alongside your ABN?
Bottom line
A verified company with a real, named team and 133 reviews averaging 4.9 — the restoration work and communication draw genuine, detailed praise. But a recent, specific, unanswered 1-star review describing failed paint and ghosted calls is exactly the kind of thing to raise before signing; how they answer will tell you plenty.
